Semantic Artificial Intelligence

History

The 1970s saw the emergence of knowledge representation and reasoning techniques, which aimed to enable machines to represent and manipulate complex information. This period also witnessed the development of frame-based systems, such as Marvin Minsky’s frames and Roger Schank’s scripts, which represented knowledge as structured networks of concepts and relationships.
These systems were designed to facilitate semantic analysis by providing a structured framework for representing and reasoning about meaning in language.
